On February 3, 2012 we were invited to demonstrate Cowboy Mounted Shooting at the Southern National Draft Horse Pull
at the James B. Hunt Horse Complex at the North Carolina Fairgrounds, one the the best horse facilites in the country with over 400 stalls, 200 RV spots a beautiful heated indoor arena seating 4500, large covered outdoor pen and three practice arenas located 10 minutes from downtown Raleigh.
We shot in front of an audience of 3000+ spectators who for most of them had never seen or heard of Cowboy Mounted shooting. The crowd cheered our rides on and many standing ovations were given for our riders great horsemanship and shooting ability. They were particularly excited about seeing rifle shooting. When the riders made the turn around the rundown barrel and dropped their reins to hold the rifle with two hands and started levering off the 5 rifle shots; steering and encouraging their horses with only their legs the crowd went wild cheering them on. We can't thank Rob Hall and Calvin Davis for the opportunity to demostate our sport in front of their audience. We hope to be working with them again in the future.
